BENGglas is among the nine nominations for the BouwBeurs Awards. The vacuum glass from Giga-Glas! from Goirle is nominated in the smart & efficient category. The jury sees a lot of attention for sustainability, efficiency, scalability, and future-proofing in the entries. ‘The entries are in line with the trends that the construction sector will face in the coming year‘, according to the jury. Visitors to BouwBeurs can see all the nominations on the exhibition floor.
‘Vacuum glass is the glass of the future,’ said director John Creutzberg of Giga-Glas! last year in an interview with Glass in Focus. ‘I am sure that this innovative product will revolutionize the use of glass in homes and buildings. It cannot be otherwise; we have to make a huge sustainability leap if we want to keep this earth habitable. And BENGglas is the best insulating glass in the world.’
BouwBeurs 2023
The jury will announce the winners on the opening day of BouwBeurs 2023, which takes place from Monday, February 6 to Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Royal Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. Exhibitors at BouwBeurs 2023 could present their innovations to the five-member jury. The jury members assessed the entries on aspects such as sustainability, innovation, and scalability. Entries have a chance to win an award in one of three categories: circularity, smart & efficient, and craftsmanship matters. Three projects are nominated per category. In addition to the jury prizes, a public award will also be presented. Voting for the personal favorite can be done via the exhibition's website.
