Arnoud Heijke is enjoying his time at BENGglas. Heijke has amassed considerable glass experience from Füldner to Pieterman and from Cura to Ben Evers. Why did he switch to BENGglas? ‘The approach of LandVac vacuum glass is impressive.’

Last September, BENGglas signed a Letter of Intent with LandVac for the construction of a production facility in Europe. LandVac, a subsidiary of LandGlass, has been active in the international sale of vacuum glass since 2016 and is considered one of the leaders in the sector. Moreover, it is the only producer of tempered titanium vacuum glass.

But more steps have been taken. In a short time, BENGglas has grown into a solid organization with a strong international presence. Recently, the team was strengthened with the arrival of Arnoud Heijke, Régis Mutziak, and Klaas de Weerd, who together bring over 75 years of glass knowledge. With this, BENGglas has a team of experienced professionals with broad expertise in glass and the glass market. It is high time to have a conversation with Youri Creutzberg (CEO), Katja Creutzberg (Head of Marketing), and Arnoud Heijke (Senior Account Manager).

Versatility of glass

The latter has been working in the glass world since 1997 and knows the product from multiple angles: from the production machines, but also from production and trade. ‘Since April 1, I can add another perspective to it,’ he says. ‘Something that once again demonstrates the versatility of glass. I was asked and I took the opportunity because I believe in the product. That belief only grew stronger when I visited the factories this spring. I was amazed.’

High-quality ovens Landglass

Heijke already knew LandGlass from its (bending) tempering ovens and their high quality. ‘I won’t name names, but very large and renowned European glass companies swear by these technologically advanced ovens. If you can temper a pane of 3 by 2 meters and only 3 millimeters thick so flat and tight as steel, without “anisotropy” or “airmarks,” then you have something special. LandGlass has been building complete factories and lines for almost thirty years, comparable to what European machine manufacturers like Hegla and LiSEC do. When FINEO entered the market in 2019, LandVac was already active in more than fifty countries. What also struck me: technicians were everywhere; even the CEO is a technician. And that reflects in everything. Impressive.’
