Dankzij de dunne opbouw kon het glas gewoon in de bestaande kozijnen geplaatst worden. De authentieke uitstraling van de erker bleef dus volledig behouden. En met een geluidsdemping van 36 dB is het nu ook heerlijk stil binnen.

The first floor had single glazing (U=5.8), and the ground floor had old-fashioned thermopane (U=2.8). These have all been replaced with super-smart vacuum glass from BENGglas with a U-value of 0.40.
