More comfort, lower heating costs
Together with Van Dam Glas & Montage, this house in Bloemendaal has become much more comfortable and energy-efficient. The old thermopane double glazing (U-value 2.8) has been replaced by the smart vacuum glass from BENGglas. With a U-value of just 0.40, this glass is almost seven times better at insulating. This means not only a better energy label but also significantly lower heating costs. A win-win situation!
For this project, the extra slim 8.3 mm version of BENGglas was chosen, with a double low-E coating for optimal insulation and excellent sun protection. This way, the interior stays pleasantly cool in the summer and warm in the winter, while the authentic appearance of the house is preserved.
Sliding door renewed, comfort doubled
Together with the Noord-Hollandse Glascentrale, this sliding door is equipped with super-insulating BENG glass. The old double glazing (U=2.8) was replaced with vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40 — that is almost seven times better insulating.
The result? Less heat loss, more comfort, and a step forward in energy saving. Ideal for a rear facade where light, view, and insulation come together.
Monument in a new guise, without it being noticeable
Together with Schildersbedrijf Donker, this monumental house has been fitted with BENGglas vacuum glass. The old single glass of only 4 mm thick has been replaced by glass that insulates more than ten times better – without adjusting the original frames.
In addition to a significant leap in energy efficiency, BENGglas also provides more tranquility in the house, more comfort, and more daylight. And all this without changing anything about the familiar appearance of the house.
From single glazing to optimal comfort in Zeist
Together with ProGlass, this house in Zeist has been renovated: the old single glazing (U = 5.8) has been replaced with vacuum insulation glass from BENGglas (U = 0.40). A significant step forward in insulation, which can be felt immediately. Thanks to BENGglas, the house has not only become more energy-efficient, but also quieter and more comfortable. More warmth inside, less noise from outside – without the need to replace the frames. Quite pleasant.
From old HR glass to today's vacuum insulation
In collaboration with Glashandel van Spaendonk, this house in Tilburg has been significantly improved in terms of insulation. The outdated HR glass with a U-value of 2.8 has been replaced by BENGglas with a U-value of 0.40 — that's more than 6 times better insulation. And it doesn't stop at warmth. BENGglas is thin, fits in the existing frames, and also provides more peace in the house thanks to excellent sound insulation. This makes sustainability very comfortable.
Upgrade with BENG glass for monumental 17th-century building
In the heart of Groningen, this 17th-century monument received a significant energy boost thanks to Glasgilde and BENGglas. No less than 97 single-pane windows (U=5.8) were replaced with ultra-slim BENGglas with an impressive insulation value of 0.40. Thanks to the thin glass thickness of just 8.3 mm, the original frames remained intact — no hassle, just mega results. And as the cherry on top: a significant noise reduction with less street noise (-36dB).
