Together with Schildersbedrijf Hoskens, the single glazing of this apartment has been replaced with vacuum glass from BENGglas. This significantly reduces heat loss: with a U-value of up to 0.40, this glass insulates up to three times better than HR++ — and it fits perfectly into the existing frames.

Because the apartment is located on a busy street, the new glass also offers extra comfort. Thanks to the strong sound insulation of 36 to even 39 dB (in the laminated variant), it has become much quieter inside. And with an expected lifespan of 50 years, there's no need to worry about it for the foreseeable future. That's a relief.
