Famous from 'Ciske de Rat'. Now a textbook example of sustainability.
Together with Koek & Reinders Schilderwerken, the iconic Public Primary School – known from the movie Ciske de Rat – has been equipped with BENG glass.
The old single glass (U=5.8) has been replaced with vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40. That is no less than 14 times better insulating! Good for the energy label and the gas bill.
Thanks to the slim thickness of only 8.3 mm, the glass could simply be placed in the existing frames. No frame replacement, yet preservation of the characteristic appearance.
Bonus: with a sound attenuation of 36 dB (or 39 dB in the laminated variant), it is also wonderfully quiet inside.

Division of red and top insulation? It's possible with BENGglas.
Together with Glashandel Van Spaendonk, this house has been tackled from top to bottom. Downstairs, the existing frames were retained, while upstairs they were completely renewed – with muntin bars. Everywhere, the old single glazing (U=5.80) has been replaced by BENGglas (U=0.40). The result: much better insulation, lower heating costs, and that familiar appearance has simply remained.

From old to insulation topper in Meppel
In collaboration with Schildersbedrijf Donker, this house in Meppel has been significantly improved. The old single glazing (U=5.80) has been replaced with BENG glass with an insulation value of U=0.40. This means more comfort, less cold, and lower energy costs — while the original appearance is preserved.

Monumental farm, ready for the future
In collaboration with Donker Schilders en Decorateurs, this beautiful farmhouse in Brunstinge has been fitted with BENGglas. The old single glazing (U=5.80) was replaced with super-insulating vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40. The authentic frames could remain in place, while both comfort and energy efficiency significantly improved. Exactly how you want it for such a characteristic property.

Maximum insulation, in every form
Together with Van Dam Glas & Montage and C&M Schilders, this house has been equipped with vacuum glass in special shapes. Think of arches and slanted panes — perfectly fitting in existing frames. Thanks to BENGglas, the residents now benefit from top insulation, without having to change anything about the original appearance.

Sustainability of Brick Factory Wageningen with BENGglass
During the renovation of 'De Steenfabriek' in Wageningen, new wooden frames were installed with BENGglas Double Coated. This vacuum glass has a double sun-resistant coating and an insulation value of U=0.40.
The painting work has also been renewed. This way, the building is well insulated, neatly finished, and ready for the future — while retaining its original appearance.
