Layered vacuum glass for silence and warmth
In this residence in Steenwijk, 27 panes of layered BENG glass have been installed – a nice step forward in both thermal and sound insulation. The applied vacuum glass has a U-value of 0.40, thanks to the vacuum between the two glass panes. As a result, hardly any heat is lost, and sound is largely kept outside. Normally, vacuum glass already offers a sound reduction of 36 dB, but in this case, a version with a layered counter pane was chosen. This elevates the sound insulation to an impressive 39 dB – noticeably quieter both during the day and at night.

Smart sustainability in Arnhem
In this detached house, the old single glazing (U=5.8) has been replaced by BENGglas vacuum glass. A significant upgrade, as the insulation value of the house has clearly improved. Because the glass is only 8.3 mm thin, it could simply be installed in the existing frames. This not only saves costs but also ensures that the original appearance of the house has remained unchanged.

Stained glass remains, heat loss disappears
In this monumental building, a smart combination of preservation and innovation has been chosen: BENGglas has been applied here as a secondary glazing for the existing stained glass.
This way, the authentic details remain fully visible, but the house benefits from a huge insulation leap. The original single glass (U = 5.8) has been replaced by vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40 – which is almost ten times better insulating.
The impact is immediately noticeable in the energy consumption and in the energy label of the house. And all this without affecting the character.

Old frames, new performance
In this project, a deliberate choice was made for BENGglas, and that had everything to do with previous choices at the front of the building. A few years ago, plastic frames with HR++ glass were installed there. Although this provided better insulation, it did come at the expense of the original appearance of the facade.
On the other sides of the house, a smarter solution has now been chosen. BENGglas fits directly into the existing frames, allowing the character of the building to be preserved — without having to invest in new frames again.

Fresh upgrade for a detached villa in Meppel
This detached house in Meppel received a significant insulation boost with BENGglas Double Coated. The old insulation glass (U = 3.0) has been replaced with vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40 – a huge step forward compared to HR++ or even triple glazing.
Interesting detail: condensation now occasionally forms on the outside of the glass. That might sound strange, but it's actually a good sign. The better the glass insulates, the sooner outside condensation occurs. A subtle but visible proof that it works.

Character and comfort under one roof
For this characteristic house, a glass upgrade with impact was chosen: the old single glass (U = 5.8) has been replaced with BENGglas Double Coated with a U-value of just 0.40.
This intervention not only makes a world of difference in insulation value but also results in lower heating costs and an improved energy label – without detracting from the classic appearance of the house.
