In this project, BENGglas was deliberately chosen, and that had everything to do with previous choices at the front of the building. A few years ago, plastic window frames with HR++ glass were installed there. Although that provided better insulation, it did come at the expense of the original appearance of the facade.

On the other sides of the house, a smarter solution has now been chosen. BENGglas fits directly into the existing frames, preserving the character of the building — without having to invest again in new frames.

This detached house in Meppel received a significant insulation boost with BENGglass Double Coated. The old insulating glass (U = 3.0) has been replaced with vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40 – a huge step forward compared to HR++ or even triple glass.

Interesting detail: condensation now occasionally forms on the outside of the glass. That might sound strange, but it's actually a good sign. The better the glass insulates, the sooner outside condensation occurs. A subtle but visible proof that it works.

For this characteristic house, an impactful glass upgrade was chosen: the old single glass (U = 5.8) has been replaced by BENGglas Double Coated with a U-value of only 0.40.

This intervention not only makes a world of difference in insulation value but also results in lower heating costs and an improved energy label—without compromising the classic appearance of the house.

In collaboration with Schildersbedrijf Donker, another beautiful building is being made more sustainable with BENG glass (U=0.40). Thanks to the ultra-thin glass, the original window frames can remain in place, while the comfort inside takes a huge leap forward. This way, the appearance remains classic — but the interior of the home is completely ready for the future.
