Monumental villa in Baarn ready for the future
Together with Proglass, this monumental villa in Baarn has been equipped with BENG glass. The old single glass (U=5.80) has been replaced by vacuum glass with an insulation value of only 0.40 — a world of difference. On the ground floor, the choice was made for the slim 8.3 mm glass, and in places where extra safety was needed, laminated glass was applied. This way, the authentic appearance is preserved, but it is much more comfortable and energy-efficient inside.

All old windows are being replaced with BENGglas vacuum glass of 8.3 mm with a super low U-value of 0.40. First, they made perfectly fitting templates of all arched windows on-site, which they then digitized and put into production. The result? No more condensation on the inside, top-notch insulation against heat and sound, and all of this without adjustments to the frames.

By slightly deepening the frames, the new glass fit perfectly and absorption strips and sealing edges remain out of sight.
On the sheltered side, a ventilation grille was installed for extra fresh air, without compromising on comfort. A sleek delivery and a monument that can withstand years to come.
