The outdated HR glass with a U-value of 2.8 has been replaced with BENG glass with a U-value of 0.40 — that's more than 6 times better insulation. And it doesn't stop at warmth. BENG glass is thin, fits in the existing frames, and also provides more peace at home thanks to excellent sound insulation. This makes sustainability very comfortable.

In the heart of Groningen, this 17th-century monument received a significant energy boost thanks to Glasgilde and BENGglas. No fewer than 97 single-glazed windows (U=5.8) were replaced with ultra-slim BENGglas with an impressive insulation value of 0.40. Thanks to the thin glass thickness of just 8.3 mm, the original frames remained in place — no hassle, just mega results. And as the cherry on top: a significant silence boost with less street noise (-36dB).
