Van de Looy makes Zorglandgoed de Oude Tempel more sustainable with BENGglas®
In collaboration with Van de Looy Glas and B+O Architecture and Urban Design, the beautiful estate de Oude Tempel has received a contemporary upgrade with BENGglas!
Originally built in 1919 as a summer residence, this monument has served various functions over the years, including as a residence for psychiatric clients. In the current transformation, the property is being repurposed as a care villa for residents with active care needs. The entire estate is surrounded by two new buildings with care apartments.
BENGglas is proud to have contributed to this special transformation and thanks Van de Looy Glas and B+O Architecture and Urban Design for their trust!
Van Dam Glas & Montage makes De Sociëteit Vereeniging more sustainable
Van Dam Glas & Montage has once again made a beautiful municipal monument more sustainable with BENGglas: De Sociëteit Vereeniging in Haarlem. This special building from 1923 on the Zijlweg has a rich history — and now also a future that is ready for the coming decades.
The old single glazing (U=5.80) was replaced with BENGglas Single Coated (U=0.40). An improvement by a factor of 14, which ensures significantly more comfort inside and a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions.
BENG glass with stained glass
Multiglas has completely renovated this special building with vacuum glass. Thanks to BENGglas, the original wooden frames could be preserved, keeping the authentic appearance intact. The insulation value jumped from 5.80 to 0.50 (Ug) — a huge improvement that provides more comfort and significant energy savings.
National monument from 1626 in Hattem, now ready for the future
In the heart of Hattem, Bosch & Nagelhout chose BENGglas® to make this National Monument from 1626 more sustainable. This prepares the building for the future without compromising its historical appearance.
Because BENGglas fits into the existing frames, the original appearance was preserved. At the same time, comfort and energy performance have been greatly improved. A beautiful example of how modern insulation glass makes monumental buildings future-proof.

Historical heritage made sustainable with BENG glass in Herentals
The Lakenhal, a historic monument in the heart of Herentals (Belgium), will soon be fitted with BENGglas® — a next step in the sustainable preservation of protected heritage. Originally built as a cloth hall for traders, this centuries-old building remains one of the most recognizable buildings in the city.
For this project, BENGglas® Single Coated was chosen — color-neutral vacuum glass with a U-value of 0.40. This glass insulates three times better than HR++ glass, without modifications to the existing frames.
