At BENGglas, you can choose from three different films between the glass layers: EVA, PVB, and SGP. They all ensure that the glass remains neatly together in case of breakage, but each type has its own advantages.

• EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) is versatile, very moisture-resistant, clear, and suitable for most standard applications
• PVB (Polyvinyl butyral) is considered the industry standard in construction and within the NEN standards
• PVB SoundControl this variant of standard PVB has extra soundproofing properties
• SGP (SentryGlas Plus) is the ultimate option: SGP can be up to five times stronger and up to 100 times stiffer than PVB, allowing for thinner glass constructions that still meet the same safety standards. SGP is also more moisture-resistant and extremely clear.

• Fall-through safety
  Laminated glass remains intact even when it breaks: the shards adhere to the interlayer. Additionally, the films make the pane stiffer and tougher, ensuring that situations with fall-through risk are safely resolved.
• Burglar prevention
  Due to its sturdy construction, laminated glass is difficult to break. This makes it much harder for burglars to quickly gain entry. Extra safe, therefore, for your home or business.
• From noisy street to quiet space
  Thanks to the extra sound-dampening interlayer, laminated BENG glass achieves a sound reduction of no less than 39 dB (or even more). Perfect in a busy city or for those who simply enjoy peace and quiet.
• Extra protection against UV radiation
  Bright sun? No problem. Laminated glass blocks a large portion of harmful UV rays, keeping your furniture, floors, and curtains beautiful for longer.

Laminated vacuum glass is used in places where, in addition to insulation, extra safety, soundproofing, or structural strength is important. Think of glass at height, roof glazing, or in situations where there is a high noise load.

In many cases, it is even mandatory, for example, if there is a risk of falling through or in roofs. The film between the glass layers ensures that the glass does not shatter into sharp shards upon breakage – making it safer and more comfortable for daily use.

• Facades
  Standard BENG glass is double-sided safety glass: it shatters into small granules upon breakage. In facades with height differences, laminated glass is mandatory to avoid the risk of falling through.
  Thanks to the built-in UV filter in PVB film, furniture and floors discolor less quickly.
• Roof glazing
  With glass above your head, safety is not a choice but a requirement. laminated vacuum glass is the standard here: it stays together upon breakage and prevents shards from falling down. Daylight still comes in, while the UV filter prevents discoloration of floors and furniture.
• Living near noise? More peace inside?
  Noises from (air) traffic, neighbors, or a schoolyard can be disturbing. With acoustically laminated glass, the noise level noticeably decreases. A special interlayer in the glass absorbs some of the sound vibrations – ideal for bedrooms, workspaces, or simply more peace in the living room.

Then choose BENGglas Monu Restover, with an extra Restover pane – the so-called 'drawn' glass.

Replacing your old patterned glass with modern insulation glass?
No problem: we can provide the pane with a counter pane with the same patterned glass design, so the authentic appearance is preserved.

Prefer no view in?
In bathrooms, for example, you want light but no view. We then combine the BENGglas with matte film or place a matte pane against it.

BENGglas in laminated form consists of an extra pane with one or more films (EVA, PVB, or SGP) in between. The film ensures that the glass does not fall apart upon breaking but stays neatly in place. This safety feature makes laminated vacuum glass ideal for roof glazing, high windows, and applications in public spaces.

Additionally, the film gives the glass extra properties: it becomes stiffer and less easy to break through, providing a delay against burglary and allowing you to sit inside with peace of mind.

The foil layers dampen sound vibrations – ideal for those living on a busy road, or near a railway line, airport, or school. While non-laminated vacuum glass already offers up to 36 dB sound reduction, laminated vacuum glass goes a step further with damping starting at 39 dB. That difference seems small, but you'll notice it immediately: less traffic noise and less ambient noise.

In some cases, we apply acoustic PVB foils and thicker counterpanes, resulting in even better sound reduction.
