Application BENGglas BASIC
In collaboration with Koek & Reinders Schilderwerken, the monumental “Villa Maria” in The Hague is making a beautiful transition to sustainability.
The poorly insulating single glass (U=5.8) has been replaced here by BENGglas BASIC with an insulation value (U-value) of 0.58.
This significantly reduces the energy requirement of the home and the residents will save considerably on the gas bill. The sound of the street is also muted here by the sound-damping properties of BENGglas .
The BENGglas is very thin (8.15 mm) so that the existing frames could be retained. An additional advantage is that the appearance of the house has remained unchanged.
