In collaboration with Koek & Reinders Schilderwerken, the monumental “Villa Maria” in The Hague is making a beautiful transition to sustainability.

The poorly insulating single glass (U=5.8) has been replaced here by BENGglas BASIC with an insulation value (U-value) of 0.58.

This significantly reduces the energy requirement of the home and residents will save considerably on their gas bill. The noise from the street is also dampened here by the sound-absorbing properties of BENGglas.

The BENG glass is very thin (8.15 mm), so the existing window frames could be retained. An additional advantage is that the appearance of the house has remained unchanged.
