The best insulation value available
With significantly fewer spacers than other products on the market, BENGglas MAX delivers unparalleled insulation performance (U=0.40 or U=0.50) that includes triple glazing (U=0.80), double glazing HR++ (U=1.10) and far exceeds other brands of vacuum glass (U=0.70).
The slim and carefully designed sealing edge contributes to maintaining the insulation value without the possibility of small microcracks developing, which could increase the U-value. This ensures that the insulation value remains stable even after 25 years, whereas with traditional insulating glass the insulation value increases over the years.
Save on new window frames
Thanks to the slim sealing edge of only 9 mm (including absorption strip 14 mm), BENGglas MAX is easy to install in existing window frames. This allows you to save on additional material costs while benefiting from the authentic or monumental appearance of your home or building. This makes BENGglas MAX very suitable for the renovation and restoration market.
BENGglas MAX: Maximum customized performance
BENGglas MAX 0.40 and BENGglas MAX 0.50 both offer high-quality insulation, but with subtle differences. The difference between the two is in the number of coatings applied to the glass:
- BENGglas MAX 0.40 has a double low-e coating, which ensures optimal insulation and increased protection against heat loss.
- BENGglas MAX 0.50 has a single low-e coating and allows more light and heat to pass through. This results in a clearer glass, ideal for areas where natural light is important.
Compare the properties:
- U-value: 0.40 vs. 0.50
- Light transmission (LTA): 70% vs. 78%
- G-value (heat transmission): 0.30 vs. 0.58

Maximum benefits with BENGglas®
The power of BENGglas® lies in its unparalleled insulation performance packaged in an ultra-thin profile of only 8.3 mm thick. This makes the glass by far thinner and better insulating value than any other type of insulating glass. This means that the glass even fits in single-glazed frames, where triple (U=0.70) and HR++ glass (U=1.10) cannot provide a solution without having to replace the entire frame.
What our customers say:
“A revolutionary solution for Insulation!”
“After several conversations, thorough research and extensive testing, we quickly realized that BENGglas® is a truly revolutionary innovation that will change the future of insulating glass. It offers us the opportunity to insulate homes with exceptional values that were previously unthinkable or unaffordable. Thanks to its thin composition, the glass can be used in almost any frame, something that is not the case with triple glazing.
BENGglas® is the ideal choice for customers who strive for maximum insulation without sacrificing the appearance of their home. The enormous savings that BENGglas® makes possible are the decisive factor for many customers. They do not have to install heavy, new window frames, because BENGglas® fits in most existing window frames. Circular construction is becoming increasingly important, and BENGglas® is a perfect match for this trend. With the available subsidies, BENGglas® is not only sustainable, but also financially very attractive.”

High efficiency insulating glass
No degradation of the insulation value
Thanks to an advanced edge finish with polished edges, the BENGglas MAX vacuum remains stable for at least 25 years. In contrast to regular insulating glass, where the insulation value (U-value) increases slowly. This means you will achieve a higher return over the years than with traditional insulating glass!
Save more from day one
BENGglas MAX has the best insulation value on the market. As a result, BENGglas MAX insulates no less than 3x better than double glazing (HR++) and 2x better than triple glazing. This way you can save significantly more on your energy bill from day one.
Higher home value due to a better energy label
By choosing the best insulation value, you immediately make a wise investment in favor of your energy label! The investment in the glass goes directly into the value of your home or building.
BENGglas MAX has an expected lifespan of 50 years. The tested lifespan (through a lab test) is at least 25 years while maintaining the insulation value.
Compared to insulating glass HR++ (20-25 years) or triple glass HR+++ (30 years), where the U-value slowly decreases over the years, vacuum glass offers many advantages.
Conditions over a period of 25 years can be simulated using a lab test. After such a test, the U-value (insulation value) appeared to have been fully maintained; the tested lifespan is therefore 25 years. The expected lifespan of vacuum glass is 50 years.
BENGglas Extra Clear stands for long-term reliability, with a solid 15-year warranty. This is considerably longer compared to traditional insulating glass, whose warranty is often limited to only 10 years. The warranty only covers the redelivery of the high-quality vacuum glass.
Yes, it is absolutely possible to make BENGglas MAX burglar-resistant. This can be done with a tempered counter pane. The minimum glass thickness is therefore 13.06 mm, 16.06 mm or 19.06 mm depending on the window surface.
If laminated with a tempered counter pane, you make BENGglas MAX not only extra burglar-resistant, but also extra sound-absorbing (from -36 dB to -39 dB) and fall-proof.
Depending on the degree of protection, a different glass construction can be put together as desired. The insulation value remains the same even after layering (U=0.50).
The entire BENGglas® range is fully toughened (with the exception of BENGglas Plus 6.3 mm) and therefore also BENGglas MAX.
This is what also makes BENGglas® unique, because the glass is already injury-proof as standard and 5x stronger without the risk of thermal breakage, without any additional costs.
Absolutely, but only in a layered version as this is legally required. Making the glass fall-proof through layers entails a small additional cost per square meter. However, you immediately enjoy numerous additional benefits, including:
- No degradation of the insulation value in slope angle
- Savings on the roof construction due to the lightweight design
- Additional noise reduction: from -36 dB to -39 dB
- Since the glass is tempered as standard, no thermal breakage can occur
Unlike other insulating glass, BENGglas® does not lose its insulation value at an angle of inclination. This makes BENGglas® extremely suitable for roof glazing.
BENGglas MAX is available as standard in glass thicknesses 8.3 – 10.3 or 12.3 mm. Depending on the total pane surface, a minimum glass thickness is recommended:
- 8.3 mm: < 3 m²
- 10.3mm: 3 – 3.5 m²
- 12.3 mm: > 3.5 m²
It is also possible to thicken or layer BENGglas MAX.
If you layer the window with a tempered counterpane, BENGglas MAX immediately becomes extra burglar-resistant, sound-resistant and fall-proof. This makes the minimum glass thickness 13.06 – 16.06 or 19.06 mm. If desired, this can be deviated from upon request (by applying additional burglary-resistant or fire-resistant foils).
If you want to thicken the window (for example to install it in an existing double or triple glazing frame, an extra cavity including counter window can be placed behind the standard 8.3 mm, 10.3 mm or 12.3 mm glass package. The cavity options are: 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 or 20 millimeters thick with a counter pane of 4, 5 or 6 millimeters (depending on the basic construction).
The U-value (insulation value) of the vacuum insulating glass remains the same even after 'thickening' or 'layering'.
Yes, it is absolutely possible to layer BENGglas MAX. This can be done with a tempered counter pane or with a monumental counter pane. The minimum glass thickness is therefore 13.06 mm, 16.06 mm or 19.06 mm depending on the window surface.
If layered with a (non-monumental) toughened counter pane, you make BENGglas MAX extra burglar-resistant, sound-resistant and fall-proof.
Yes absolutely. It is possible to thicken BENGglas MAX. This makes BENGglas MAX suitable for every frame. Even where double glazing or triple glazing has been installed.
In this case, an extra cavity including counter pane is placed behind the standard 8.3 mm, 10.3 mm or 12.3 mm glass package. The cavity options are 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 or 20 millimeters thick with a counter pane of 4, 5 or 6 millimeters (depending on the basic construction).
The insulation value remains the same even after thickening.
The delivery time for BENGglas Extra Clear is currently approximately 18-20 working weeks.
As of April 1, BENGglas® has implemented a permanent price reduction. The new recommended price for BENGglas MAX is therefore (excluding VAT, transport and installation) 295 euros per square meter.
Please note: this is a starting recommended price and only reflects the costs of the glass excluding VAT and installation.
