Vacuum insulating glass

Making the detached house Lisse more sustainable

In collaboration with Van Dam Glas & Montage, this house makes a nice step towards 'almost energy neutral'.

Here it was decided to replace the poorly insulating single glass with the super insulating vacuum glass of the BENGglas BASIC . The old glass had a U-value of 5.8 while the new glass has a U-value of no less than 0.58. The lower, the better!

A nice detail here is that adhesive rods have been used. Working with adhesive rods has a number of advantages compared to placing an x number of separate panes. This way it not only insulates better, but it is also cheaper.
